KUDOS BOXING ASSOCIATION

Where Mind Over Matter is- ‘Easy!’

About Kudos Boxing Club

The Kudos Boxing Association was founded by Peter Simon, a passionate sportsman whose journey into the world of boxing began in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, West London. Born in Dominica in 1953, Peter moved to England as a young child in 1955. Growing up in a challenging environment where he often had to defend himself and his younger brother, Gordon, Peter developed a natural fighting spirit—one that would later shape his life and career.

His early years were marked by struggles against discrimination and adversity. At Wendell Park School, he was the only black student until his brother joined, facing taunts and exclusion that forced him to prove himself through physical strength. Fighting was a way to gain respect, but it wasn’t until his time at Victoria School that Peter’s raw talent found direction.

Peter’s love for boxing was further inspired by his father, who would enthusiastically watch matches on their black-and-white TV, shouting at the screen as if coaching the fighters himself. These moments planted the seeds of what would eventually become the Kudos Boxing Association.

Over the years, Peter honed his skills, not just as a fighter, but as a mentor and leader. His experiences—both inside and outside the ring—gave him the vision to create an organization that would provide young people with the discipline, confidence, and self-respect that boxing had given him. Kudos Boxing Association was founded on these principles: resilience, respect, and empowerment through sport.

From its inception, the association has aimed to be more than just a boxing club. It stands as a community, a place where young athletes can find guidance, camaraderie, and a path toward self-improvement. Just as Peter learned the importance of discipline and self-belief through boxing, Kudos continues to pass on these values to the next generation of fighters.

The journey of Peter Simon—from a determined young boy in Shepherd’s Bush to the founder of a respected boxing association—is a testament to the power of perseverance and the impact of sport in transforming lives.
